Red Roses - Part 22

He had read her message like million times. He cried too sometimes. He felt guilty for hurting her feelings. Sometimes he felt that he should give one more chance to their relationship. But what about his friend? Yes! Rajeev wasn’t there. Rajeev had gone far away and obviously he does want Lucy to go on with her life. And what about him?

He still adored her. He still carried those feeling for her. Love! No ! Love was deep that tied two person together under it’s sweet spell. Whatever this feeling was called, it only made him go far away from her. He thought deeply about her, life and everything else. The big question was - Was he able to give her love and affection she deserves?

The following mornings and night were spent on the thinking over about whether it would work or not. Then that was it! He would give it a shot. Unfortunately he never had courage to call her or text her. Finally he gave up. He tried to focus on getting back to his life. He hardly met her. When he did met her, it was always a coincidence meeting.

They would greet each other and maybe even have tea together. But that’s it! No one bought the topic of giving another chance to love. They were shy. They were scared of losing each other. They smiled and said good bye.

It was beautiful sunny morning. A lazy yet interesting Sunday to relax and loosen oneself. He had tiring week , spending it in completing all the deadlines on the articles he wrote for a magazine. He had decided to spend his Sunday morning at the coffee shop where he and Rajeev would spend most of their time.

He bought himself a latte which he hated so much. He drank it in one shot. “ How did he drink this? God! I hate it!”, he wondered. “ Then why do you drink it if you hate it so much? You still miss him, don’t you?”, she asked. Her voice didn’t startled him. What shocked him was that she could read his thoughts so clearly.

( To be continued)
