Red Roses - Part 25

There was an eerie silence for a moment. “ Are you fine? Your message… You said you are in danger. Is something wrong?”, he asked, breaking the silence between them. He waited for her to reply. “ It was about my sister. Do you want something to drink? How about a lemonade?”, she asked instead of answering his question.

He nodded ‘yes’ and she walked towards the kitchen to prepare the drink. He looked around. The house was filled royal artifacts. There were pictures everywhere. Some were sketches of Lucy. But there was no sketch or family photo of Fern , Lucy’s sister.  Maybe her sister was a private person. He had also not noticed any family pics. But that was strange.
She came back within few minutes with the drink. She offered him. The lemonade tasted good. It was sweet at first and then he started feeling dizzy. His vision became blurry. Everything around him was stirring in circle. What was happening to him? Why was he feeling weak? Was it because of his poor appetite?

Whatever it was, he was not feeling good. All of sudden, everything turned dark.  He went into deep sleep after he lost the fight with the deteriorating condition. He opened his eyes when he saw himself tied to chains. The first question that struck his mind was - Where was he? He did remember something about the moments spent before.

His head ached when he tried to remember. He examined his surrounding. It was creepy and dark. Nothing seemed clear. Even the reason why he was here. He didn’t understand for how long he had been tied up here. He didn’t understand for how long he was unconscious.

The place didn’t have any window. It was difficult to understand where this place was located. He only remembered of being at Lucy’s house. Lucy.. Lucy!! His headache started again. How did he not think about Lucy? She was with him. He looked around again . She wasn’t there. Obviously it was dark and thus he wouldn’t find her. He called her name out. There was no answer. Where was she? He prayed that nothing happened to her.

(To be continued)
