Red Roses - Part 26

He didn’t know how many hours had passed or how many days had gone. How long had it been that he was stuck up here? How long had it been that he was unconscious. He felt so helpless and lost. With chains tied to every part of his body, he felt no lesser than disabled man. They say that light glows from tiny hole in darkest room. But did this apply to his life? Will a hope shine in this dark strange room?

He breathe deeply to relieve himself from the tension that were developing inside him. How was he getting out? There had to be some secret way to outside that he hadn’t noticed. If he was brought into this room, then he could get out. He hoped that he could find that way and he always did.

He searched the room with curious eyes. It was completely dark. He felt like a blind man tied up like a prisoner. But he didn’t lose hope. He looked around until a light glimmered across the room. It looked like a bulb and a figure appeared. He was relieved. At last he saw a human after long time.

Maybe he/she was his kidnapper. Whoever it was, he was glad to see a human presence in the room. “ Hello”, he called. The person didn’t respond and he/she was busy doing something. He didn’t care until he got the stranger’s attention. He called again and there was no luck this time. He continued. He didn’t stop.

But then something happened. The stranger stopped what he/ she was doing and walked towards him. At last his technique of grabbing attention worked. He wanted answers. Maybe the stranger would help find them. He waited patiently for the stranger to come as it took him/her to walk towards him.

It was fine until he saw the stranger. He was shocked. He was scared. It was not a human. It was not an animal either. It was ugly. The only thing that looked human was it’s shape. His heart skipped when he saw that it had a chainsaw in it’s other hand which looked like unhuman. The fear and confusion had filled his mind that he didn’t realize this was an end of his life.

( To be continued)
