The ShowOffs - Part 33

He smiled at the word "Sorry". He was amazed by her innocence. After all the commotion happened, she was worried about hurting him. "Sorry! Why? You were not in your senses and these things happen. It's okay. ", he consoled her. She released from the hug. She was still whimpering. "I should have controlled myself. I should have ignored his comments. I know how he is.", she stammered while recalling the events. She was about to cry. 

"It's okay. Cry as much as you want. You are human too.", he said. His words were enough to make her cry. He held her by her shoulders while she cried uncontrollably. "It's okay to let go yourself. It's okay if things don't go as you want. Nothing is perfect. You can't please everyone.", he consoled her.

She stopped crying few minutes later. She was relaxed indeed. "Thanks! I am feeling better now.", she said with a smile. "Now let's go out. Let's do something fun.", he said. "What about the shoot?" , she asked. "Forget about work at least once. You need change. You can't go back to work like this.", he said and dragged out of the room.

"What would RK say?", she asked. "He won't say anything. He must have left by now.", he said. She noticed one of his assistant passing by. She stopped her and asked her about RK. "RK sir left!", the assistant said. She was about to ask one more question but the assistant left. "See, he left too.", he said 

RK tapped his fingers on the sofa ledge. His mind was engrossed with today's events. He was annoyed. Another shoot was wasted because of them. He wished he could change both stars. But Sonia's intervention had his hands tied up. He hated this helplessness.

Amidst his thoughts, he found his phone ringing. "Speak of the devil !" he mumbled. He answered the call. Before he could say anything, Sonia blasted out at him, " How dare you speak to my daughter like that?"

The ShowOffs - Part 32

He never wanted to leave her hands. They felt soft and precious. He felt broken inside when he released her hands. He didn't understand why he felt this overwhelming emotions for her. She wasn't his girlfriend. She did because of her good nature.

She felt strange when he released her hands. She wanted him to hold her hands for longer time. She had never felt this before. He was just a friend. He was just thanking for something she had done. "Anyone would do the same in his place", she dismissed those feeling. He left the room and she returned back to reading her script.

The day was normal except for RK. He was miffed with the sudden development. He had almost started celebrating before Sonia ordered him to bring Rajbir back. He had almost finalized the appointment with Sameer Khan when this dreadful thing happened.


He hated going back to Rajbir. He hated apologizing him. He hated accepting his terms and conditions. He didn't like anything. He couldn't look at his eyes. He was furious at Sonia. He should have known that a mother's heart would change.

He watched Rajbir and Simran enacting a scene. He interrupted them purposely and pointed even smallest mistake they made. At one point, he even screamed at Simran. Her eyes were wet with tears. But she controlled herself. She was supposed to be professional. She did as she was told. 

Finally she couldn't take it. She walked out of the shoot in between. She ran to her room. Rajbir followed her. She hadn't noticed he was behind and banged the door behind her. She immediately realized her mistake and opened the doors to him. She hugged him and said sorry.

The ShowOffs - Part 31

Sonia moved closer to her daughter. She held her by her arms. Her grip was tighter. Her nail pierced through her skin, making bruises. This didn't dampen Simran's spirit. She held her head high. " I am not intimidated by you. I won't bend down by your scares. I am not a kid anymore.", she said. Her mother loosened her grip.

" This will ruin your career. I didn't work so hard to maintain your career that one day you would waste it for some guy. I won't let you ruin it.", Sonia raised her voice. "I don't want this stardom that is shaped by ruining someone else life. This is wrong. I won't let this happen.", Simran said firmly. "You are stubborn, mom. So am I. If you want me on this project, then take Rajbir back. Or else face the consequences.", she smirked.

Sonia had no words. Her daughter was using her way to get her things done. She had to agree. She had to get the project running. She had invested lot in this movie. "Ok! Whatever you say will be done. I will get Rajbir back.", she said. Simran smiled. She got what she wanted.

Rajbir was elated as well as surprised. He had not seen this avatar of Simran. He waited for the next day eagerly not for the shoot but to thank Simran. Each hour passed slowly, testing his patience to extreme extent.

Next day arrived. Rajbir rushed to Simran as soon as possible. He hugged when he found her at the green room. Simran was confused. She tried to release from his grip. It wasn’t possible.  She waited for him to release her. He cried softly. His tear wet one of her shoulders.

Finally he released her , still holding her hands. He whispered “Thanks!”.  She smiled. “Don’t thank me. I did what I thought was right.”, she said. “You have done lot for me . More than  what a close friend would do. ”,  he said animatedly. “Am I not your close friend?”, she asked sweetly. He smiled and nodded yes.

The ShowOffs - Part 30

Rajbir's manager didn't help him with his situation. He was adding more fuel to his fury. He blamed him for his actions. "What were you thinking while doing all this ? I warned you many times about RK. He is not what you think he is. You were playing with fire.", he accused him. Rajbir stayed put. He started believing his manager's word. He felt guilty for what he had done.

Sonia was beaming with happiness. She had grabbed the opportunity at the right time. Her biggest pain had disappeared. Now everything would run as per as her wishes. She decided to visit the set daily. She had to make sure RK doesn't ruin any of her plans.

RK was busy planning an appointment with Sameer Khan. He had to get him before Sonia changes her mind. He had somehow convinced to be on his side. But he knew she would change sides when she sees something that benefits her. He was about to finalize a date when he witnessed a ruckus near Simran's room.

He headed towards Simran's room. There was a duel between Simran and one of his assistant. He couldn't understand what they were fighting for. "Calm down ! ", he intervened. Both parties quietened. "What is the issue ?", he asked his assistant. "She doesn't want to shoot, sir.", his assistant replied. "Why?", he asked. "I want to be out of this project.", Simran interrupted.

"Why ?", he asked. " If Rajbir is out of this project, then I want to be out too.", she protested. He threw his phone out of anger. " I will talk to your mom.", he said firmly. "I am not her puppet any more. It's my decision and I won't listen to anyone.", she argued. "Ok! We will wait for your mother.", he said.

Sonia arrived just on time. She wasn't amused at what she saw. Her daughter was creating nuisances for no reason. She stormed towards Simran  and dragged her inside the green room. After she locked the door, she growled, "What's wrong with you?", she asked. "I should be asking you the same question.", her daughter retorted back. "Don't talk to me like that !", she snarled. "RK played with our lives. He ruined Rajbir's life. He took away his girlfriend and now his career. I won't stand this injustice.", Simran said firmly.
