Let go- Part 3

He dropped her at her place even after her continuous refusal. She left without showing him any gratitude. Her aunt was waiting for her at the door. She saw the guy who dropped her niece safetly and smiled at him as a token of courtesy.

“So who is this new guy? Someone special ..at last you have a guy in your life!”, her aunt Sarah teased.  Jasmine was already pissed off with things in her life . This was too hot for her to handle… that too getting linked to the guy she hated in the whole world. “ He just works at my office and he wanted to drop me because I missed my cab. That it! Sarah aunty! I don’t have any hot spots for him.”, she argued.

“ Jazz! Stop calling me Sarah aunty! You don’t have to get angry for silly stuffs I blabber. You could have told that in a sober way.” Sarah said calmly. Sarah was fourteen years elder to Jasmin. But she was way younger than she was in the way she looked or acted. She was sole guardian to Jasmin and took care of her for past many years. Jasmin was just ten years old when her mother left her at the doorstep of Sarah. From that day onwards, she only had bitter feelings for her mother. This had made her into cold and bitter person.
Sarah had tried to change her niece nature. But her niece was just like her sister-arrogant and adamant. She bought her up in happy environment, taught her lessons of kindness and forgiveness. But she never could change her heart.

It was any other day for Jasmin. She got up early and got ready for morning jog. She drank her usual glass of hot water.  She opened the door to chilly morning wind. She zipped her jacket till her neck and covered her head with a hood. She started jogging with her ear plugged to earphones of her cell. The music bursted in her ears while she enjoyed the tranquility of the morning breeze. This was the time where she could be herself  or in other words she could meet her peaceful side.

“ Hi! Wait up! I am going to join you.” , the voice startled her. “ Not again!” she  said to herself. It was him- the devil Aman. This was the only place where she escaped from his annoying- ness. Now that was all gone. She tried to increase her speed. But he caught up with her.
She stopped suddenly. “ What!! Why are you following me? I am better off alone. You have already taken away so much from me. Now why do you want to take my only place of freedom?” she blurted out her irritation that was mounting in her for so long.

(To be continued)
