Love and Heartbreaks- Part 1

Molly was in one of her mood swings. Her mood swings would stay for few minutes and disappear in thin air. This one was going to stay for a bit longer. In such situations, Randy was medicine to cure her back to normalcy. Only if those unfortunate minutes never happened, she wouldn’t have lost him. So she turned to everything else that she thought would bring her back from the lost state.

She watched romantic movies. But every scene reminded her of the dreadful past she spent with him. Next she tried to listen to Olly Murs  and ended up listening to Tum hi ho. The song added more fire to her emotion. She would break down. Later she stopped listening or watching anything. She opted for next big thing- Shopping!

She window shopped all the shops in every mall or bazaar. At last she found a dress of her liking. It was yellow  strapless short dress. She tried it on. It fitted her body so perfectly. She turned around to see how the dress swirled with her. “ Beautiful!” , she said. As she got out of the dress and looked at the price tag, she left it immediately. “ 1500 bugs!”, she cried. It was expensive. She walked out of shop, disappointed.

She walked into a few more shops with the yellow dress in her mind. None matched the one she had in her mind. After all the trials and lookouts, she returned back to the shop. Unfortunately the dress was already taken. She saw a young man paying for the dress. Alas! She lost her perfect dress like she lost Randy. Luck had turned bad for her. She was losing everything she wanted.

“ Hi! Are you looking for this dress?” , the same young man ( who bought the dress) said. “ Hmmm.. yes!”, she said softly. Her voice was too low for him to hear. “ You can have it!  I thought of presenting the dress for my sister. But I saw you sulking here and the way you were looking at it. I think you must have it. Please don’t say no.”, he said. She looked at him surprised. “ Thank for your gesture. I can’t take this. You paid for it.”, she protested.

He smiled and handed her the dress. “ Anyway the colour wouldn’t look good on my sister. I noticed it after paying. You can have it. Please accept it.”, he said. After a lot of protests, she accepted his offer. However she made one condition- she was going to pay for it by treating him a coffee. He agreed to her condition.
