Love and heartbreaks - Part 10

The weeks were longer and saturdays- sunday would be opposite- shorter. He wished he could extend those two hours he was spending with her. But those two hours seemed like slipping from his hand. She would come late most of the times and would complete the session on time.. not a minute longer. He was aware that she did that on purpose.

She always seemed to be hurry. He didn’t understand why? He felt that she was trying to keep him in distance. What was the reason that she was so cold towards him. It was like she was sending him a message that she wasn’t comfortable being with him. Everytime she tried to break him, challenged him to be nearer to him.

She had been teaching him warm up session for a month. Every class, she would come up with some tough exercise. He would do it without any complain. Everyone close to her could understand that she was being really tough with him. One fine day, “ Don’t you think you are punishing him too hard for silly mistake of his. Who wouldn’t have rejected that request by mistake? It’s really mean of you to do that! He seriously likes you and you can see it. Please give him a chance!”, Ellie, Molly’s best friend, said.

She knew she was too harsh to him though it made her happy to hurt him always. It was saturday again, one of her dreadful days of the week. She was dancing to the tunes of one of Amir Daib’s song. She didn’t understand the lyrics of the song, She simply felt the soulful music turn her body. It was mix of belly dancing and freestyle. Her hip swayed slowly to the beats. She was oblivious to the surrounding as well as Mohit standing there.

She moved like a snake to the rhythms of the songs. She ended the dance with one of classic posture. When she was done, she raised her eyes to see him smiling at her. He looked amazed at her. It was obvious that he hadn’t seen her dance so well except for few glimpses of teaching her students. But this was one of masterpiece! He was truly awed by her talent. “ You are amazing! Did anyone tell you that?  Why don’t you try mainstream dancing? I mean there are many dance competitions. You can try one ! You could easily win the contest with such a golden talent.”, he said.

She blushed initially by his words. Later she went back to her cold self. “ How come you are early by an hour? Your class starts by five and it is four.”, she snapped, embarrassed that he had to see her dance. She hated anyone seeing her practice her performance. She felt it jinxed her chances in competition  though she had been losing the competition to the best dancer- Archana. “ Huh! People scold you if you are not punctual. But I have never seen anyone criticizing people for coming early.”, he joked at her cold behaviour. She was losing temper now. She crossed her arms. trying to calm herself.
